Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) is the foundation course designed by Red Hat to develop Red Hat Linux professionals with administrative skills. This course is exactly a subset of the RHCE track defined by Red Hat. This course includes first tow modules of the RHCE course. Modules RH033: Red Hat Linux Essentials
RH133: Red Hat Linux System Administration Once completed the three modules, students can appear to the RHCT exam (RH202) or they can appear to the RHCE exam (RH302)
RHCE Exam (RH302) Information The RHCE Certification Exam is a 5.5 hour long performance measuring on-the-lab exam which is divided into two parts:
1. Section I: Troubleshooting and System Maintenance (2.5 hours)
PHASE A: Total 8 questions each of 10 marks with 5 compulsory
PHASE B: Total 20 marks question(s)
2. Section II: Installation and Configuration (3 hours)

In order to pass the RHCE exam a candidate has to:
successfully complete five Section 1 compulsory questions within 1 hour
make 80 or more marks out of the 100 marks of Section 1
make 70 or more marks out of the 100 marks of RHCT-level skill on Section 2
make 70 or more marks out of the 100 marks of RHCE-level skill on Section 2
rhcT requirement
In order to pass the RHCT exam a candidate has to:
successfully complete five Section 1 compulsory questions within 1 hour
make 70 or more marks out of the 100 marks of Section 1
make 70 or more marks out of the 100 marks of RHCT-level skill on Section 2
A candidate who appears in RH302 exam and meets only the RHCT requirements is awarded by RHCT, even if s/he can not make 70 on the RHCE section.
The exam result is emailed within three business days following the exam.
